Droogbak
Droogbak is a monumental building located in the heart of Amsterdam. It was constructed in 1884. In 1999-2000 the building underwent an extensive restoration and was renovated into an office building. In 2001 it was given the status of a national monument. Currently, Allianz is the asset owner, and Clifford Chance is the tenant of the whole building. Over the last 5 years, the building was renovated to suit the needs of a modern office environment, while preserving the building shell due to its monumental status.
The building has a gross floor area of 11922 m2, spanning over 5 floors including a basement and an attic. The basement houses parking spaces, technical rooms, a restaurant, and a kitchen as well as some general storage spaces. The ground floor provides access entry to the office spaces of Clifford Chance with an inviting central atrium. The floor layouts consist of office spaces towards the outer perimeter and social zones towards the atrium.
